Thermotropic Films

Thermoplastic polymers such as polyolefins, polycarbonates and polymethacrylates are linear, non cross-linked polymers. Most of the thermoplastic polymers can be molten without decomposition. Thus they can be formed by extrusion technology to foils, sheets and multi wall sheets. The extrusion process requires high thermal and mechanical stability of the materials. Specific pigments developed by us are stable in the extrusion process and thus enable for the first time a technology compatible production of thermotropic thermoplastic goods. Potential applications are agro foils, roof structures, or laminates for green houses and solar panels.
